At a recent Incident Prevention Utility Safety Conference, we gathered a group of Certified Utility Safety Professionals to share their thoughts on the benefits of the CUSP program.

The CUSP Certification is the only program which offers utility-specific safety leadership credentials to meet the unique requirements of utilities and related contractors. The credential of CUSP will only be assigned to those who meet requirements for entry, whose application is approved by the review committee and in the end they must pass the CUSP exam.

-Industry-wide professional recognition as a Utility Safety Professional.
-The CUSP credential provides employers the assurance of an individual’s broad knowledge, skills and abilities in the utility work environment when hiring or promoting.
-The CUSP exam creates a uniform standard of understanding utility safety regulations, competencies and task directed skills for both utility companies and their contractor partners.
